Buller Health no longer needs to introduce alternate care plans to its acute care service this weekend as a permanent senior (Rural Hospital Medicine) doctor will now be on site to support the Acute Stabilisation Unit (ASU).
This means acute care services will now be available over the weekend from 5pm today (12 July) to 8:30am on Monday (15 July).
On Monday (15 July) and Tuesday (16 July), the ASU will be open between 8:30am – 5pm. As overnight services will not be available on these days, if you have an emergency, please dial 111 and ask for an ambulance.
The urgent weekend clinics (Saturday and Sunday) will be running from 10am – 12pm as planned.
All services including GP and nurse practitioner appointments, outpatient clinics, allied health and district nursing will be available at the facility Monday to Friday during normal working hours.
For appointments, enquiries, prescriptions, or results please phone Buller Medical Centre on 03 788 9277 during weekday opening hours (Monday – Friday 8:45am – 5:00pm).
Other ways to access an appointment with a GP or Nurse Practitioner is by using one of the available telehealth services.
