In response to a temporary staff shortage, South Westland Area Practice is currently offering remote General Practitioner (GP) and Nurse Practitioner telehealth consultations via either video or phone.

Appointments are available next week (18-22 July) as follows:


·         Wednesday 20/07/2022

·         Thursday 21/07/2022

·         Friday 22/07/2022

Nurse Practitioner

·         Thursday 21/07/2022

·         Friday 22/07/2022

Rural Nurse Specialist (RNS) services are also affected. RNS appointments are available as usual in Franz Josef and Fox Glacier and will be available in Hari Hari, Whataroa and Haast from Wednesday 20 July.

We are also pleased to announce that a permanent GP has been recruited to work in South Westland and will commence shortly in that role.
