Normal services (including on-call for emergencies and PRIME callouts) will be available every second week starting from 1pm on Friday, 27 May. Nurse drop-in clinics will be held on a fortnightly basis between 9am – 1pm except on public holidays from Monday, 20 June.

Urgent care: Please present to the unplanned clinic at Te Nīkau Hospital & Health Centre for any urgent medical care.
If it’s an emergency, please dial 111.
District Nursing: District Nursing services will be supported by the Greymouth District Nursing team – 03 769-7721.

More information re services and how to get help in the Moana district is shown on the next panel on this page.
For clinical emergency calls please dial 111.
For urgent calls or calls that simply can’t wait, if no one answers the phone please listen to the message and pick the dial option that connects you to nurses cell phone.
For non-urgent calls, i.e. if wanting to schedule an appointment, or if checking for test results, you are asked to please wait till the end of the answer phone message and leave a message. When the facility is unattended, Rural Nurse Specialists are usually out and about and busy with patients, and as they are not sitting near a computer they are also unable to book appointments or to check test results. Non-urgent calls could unnecessarily hold up the processes of attending to patients. The nurses do check messages left on the clinic phone with high regularity (usually every 3 hours) and will be able to call you back as soon as they are not with a patient and deal with your enquiry.
Weekends and evenings are for urgent advice only and whether there is the need of a subsequent visit will be decided by the Rural Nurse Specialists.
Please see also ‘Open hours’ info displayed in the previous panel on this page.
If you live in the Moana region or are staying for a while, we encourage you to enrol with the practice.
Enrolment is free, and means you can get cheaper healthcare when you need it.
