Greymouth’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic is set to temporarily relocate next week to ANZAC Park, Greymouth.
West Coast DHB’s Senior Responsible Officer for the COVID-19 response Philip Wheble says that from next Tuesday (22/02/2022), you will find our COVID-19 vaccination team set up in the carpark at ANZAC Park.
“This temporary relocation is part of our COVID-19 response planning to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of our staff and community is maintained while we have Omicron circulating in New Zealand.
“We needed to look at ways to minimise interactions between people accessing the vaccination clinic to ensure we could maintain public health measures like physical distancing. Setting up shop in an alternative site and offering vaccinations via drive-through or drop-in appointments provides the best solution.”
“The only thing that is changing is the location – instead of coming to the Te Nīkau campus you will head on down to ANZAC Park just off Cowper/Turumaha Streets in Greymouth. We will have signage in place to direct people to the new location,” says Mr Wheble.
You can book online at www.BookMyVaccine.nz or call 0800 28 29 26 (8am – 8pm, 7 days per week).
While we are vaccinating 5-11-year olds as well as people 12 years and over, we recommend that bookings are made so that people are not kept waiting. Drop-ins are limited due to the additional time it takes to vaccinate children as fewer people can be vaccinated at each clinic.
Clinic details including opening hours are available on our vaccination website – www.vaccinatecanterburywestcoast.nz
