In response to a reduction in demand, the last COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Westport’s Masonic Lodge is set to take place this coming Saturday.
West Coast DHB’s General Manager Philip Wheble says we are extremely grateful to the owners of the Masonic Lodge building who have allowed us to use it as a vaccination centre, and during the Buller flood events as a pop-up General Practice.
“This extended support has been significant as it ensured that Westport residents could access COVID-19 vaccinations in a dedicated space.
Since the clinic opened in late-April 2021, 16,643 people have been vaccinated in the Masonic Lodge. This total includes 6154 first and 6109 second doses plus 4352 boosters which includes immunocompromised people who have had a third primary dose. In total, 383 tamariki have been vaccinated with first and second doses.”
